7IDP RIDERS ON THE TOP BOX AFTER 2 ROUNDS OF THE 2023 UCI EWC SERIES!

 The UCI Enduro World Cup season kicked off with back-to-back events in Tasmania Australia.

 7IDP athletes excelled at both events with multiple wins and podium positions.

 After 2 events Yeti/Fox Factory Racing’s 7IDP riders Richie Rude and Bex Baraona are leading the men’s and women’s elite categories whilst Nukeproof/Sram’s Dan Booker is in 2^nd position and Yeti’s Polish  flyer Slawomir Lukasik lies in 4^th place! In the women’s under 21 category Forbidden Synthesis’ Emily Lan lies in 2^nd  place.

Enduro World Cup Maydena Bike Park Tasmania

Maydena Bike Park in Tasmania was the opening venue for the 2023 Enduro World Cup . 

Seven IDP riders were out in full force with riders from Nukeproof Sram, Yeti/Fox Factory Racing and Forbidden Synthesis Team all racing to win.

Tasmania’s Dan Booker racing on home soil finished a fantastic 2^nd overall riding consistently and never falling outside of the top three. Dan was racing in the P23 Carbon Helmet, Sam Hill Knee and Control Gloves.

Fellow Australian Connor Fearon and Canadian team mate Rhys Verner finished 3^rd and 4^th respectively for the Forbidden Synthesis Team a fantastic result beating some real big players onto the podium.

Yeti/Fox’s Ryan Gilchrist  finished an excellent  6^th  whist team mate and two time EWS Champion Richie Rude finished in a solid   7^th place.

In the elite women’s event Britain’s Bex Baraona finished 4^th.

In the Under 21’s Forbidden’s Emmy Lam took the win, a result that helped elevate Forbidden Synthesis to the top of the team rankings.

Also worth a mention and using 7IDP helmets, protection and gloves was Nukeproof Sram’s 22 year old  flying Scot Corey Watson making his  team debut., finishing 21^st overall… one to watch!

At the tape 5 of the top ten Men’s Elite riders were in 7IDP body armour and or helmets… not a bad start to the racing season!

Enduro World Cup Maydena Bike Park Tasmania

Following an epic first event dominated by Australian riders at Maydena bike Park, the old mining town of derby played host to the second round of the 2023 EWC Series.

7IDP athletes once again were at the forefront with Richie Rude Yeti/Fox Factory Racing winning the Men’s Elite event with 3 stage wins, whilst team mate Slawomir Lukasik improved on his excellent 11^th place finish at Maydena to take 2^ndoverall at the event with 2 stage wins. Furthermore Yeti/Fox Factory Racing’s Bex Baraona won the women’s elite event to complete an incredible weekend for the team.

Nukeproof Sram’s Dan Booker backed up his 2^nd place finish with an excellent 8^th place – enough to give him 2^nd in the overall  ranking after 2  events.

Forbidden Synthesis’ Rhys Verner finished in 13^th place with team mate Connor Fearon in 24^th

An awesome couple of events for 7IDP riders with half the riders in the Elite Men’s top ten overall using 7IDP!

The next round is at Finale Ligure, Italy the spiritual home of Enduro on the weekend of June 3^rd and 4^th…. Bring it on!
